How to prepare for your carpet cleaning appointment

Fifteen minutes of prep gets you noticeably better results, because our time goes into cleaning rather than moving around obstacles.

Before we arrive

  • Vacuum lightly if you have time — we do dry soil removal too, but it helps.
  • Move breakables, plants, floor lamps and electronics off the carpet.
  • Clear small items from closet floors you want cleaned.
  • Point out specific stains and tell us what has already been applied to them.
  • Plan where pets will be; equipment noise and open doors stress most animals.

During the appointment

  • A hose runs from the truck to the nearest door — that door stays open.
  • Walkways get protected, and furniture that stays gets blocked or tabbed so legs do not stain damp carpet.
  • Expect moderate noise from the truck-mounted unit for the duration.

After we leave

  • Keep airflow moving with fans or the HVAC fan setting.
  • Wear clean shoes or socks on damp carpet, never bare feet.
  • Leave furniture blocks in place until the carpet is fully dry.
  • Wait 24 hours before replacing area rugs over the cleaned area.

Common questions

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. We move most standard furniture as part of the service; we leave beds with storage underneath, pianos and large electronics in place.

Do I have to be home?

It helps for the walkthrough and final inspection, but arrangements can be made.
